On Friday, the Supreme Court agreed to review cases from four different states, all in the Sixth Circuit, that, in different ways, pose the question of whether same-sex couples have a Constitutional right to marry--an issue the Supreme Court had not yet directly ruled on. The cases are known by the names of the lead plaintiffs: Bourke v. Beshear, in Kentucky; DeBoer v. Snyder, in Michigan; Obergefell v. Hodges, in Ohio; Tanco v. Haslam, in Tennessee.
